The 28th annual Roxbury International Film Festival is taking place all over Boston June 18-26. If you can’t make it in person, you can catch online events from June 26-July 2. Unlike other famous film festivals, such as Sundance, Tribeca and Venice, the Roxbury festival is not just for cineastes. This festival is both a celebration of local community and a recognition of films that represent Black and brown individuals who historically have been left out of the picture.
